I have been painting for over 50 years and hope to expand my group of viewers to that wide world out there. Thanks for looking and I will be adding work to this site on a regular basis. As you scroll through the paintings you will find landscapes,abstracts, seascapes, tropical, still-life and more in no particular order. I have painted over 200 paintings over the years from the first one that I painted on a beach on Oahu in 1953.
"Mystic Seaport"
A watercolor of the view across the Mystic River of the Mystic Seaport. The Seaport is a restored working shipyard typical of the mid 1800's. Besides the various sailing vessels and small boats, it is the home of the last floating whaling ship, the CHARLES W. MORGAN.
The Seaport is a "must see" for anyone traveling to New England. It has a fine marine art gallery and an extensive marine library.

I am an Elected Artist of the Mystic Museum of Art. I studied both literal and abstract painting at the University of New Hampshire under the direction of John Laurent in the late 50’s. I do not paint in a repetitive style or color scheme. I feel each of my works must be unique; each must be a new creation. I also incorporate my extensive background of physics, mathematics and engineering into my abstract paintings. I have been privileged to study with the world-renowned impressionist artist Leonard E. Wren. both in Jamaica and in Washington. I also studied with Foster Caddell. until his retirement. My work has been shown at the COURTYARD GALLERY in Mystic, CT since it opened in 2004 and In the COURTYARD ON MAIN. My work has been shown in numerous solo and group shows in New England. I have been a judge of the Annual Mystic Outdoor Art Festival on four occasions I had a very large solo exhibit at the Hoxie Gallery in Westerly, Rhode Island in April 2008 at which I showed 140 paintings in various media and subjects.
